In his Nowruz message, Mohammad Reza Modarres Khiabani, CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Group (IRISL), referred to the challenges the company faced over the past year—particularly the intensified sanctions imposed by the European Union and the UK government. He stated that despite these obstacles, the company experienced a highly successful year, achieving an impressive 108% growth in shipping revenues, thanks to the commendable dedication of the fleet’s maritime personnel and the tireless efforts of onshore staff.
Expressing optimism about sustaining this success, Modarres Khiabani emphasized that one of the top priorities for the IRISL national fleet in 2025 will be the development of human capital, with a strong focus on employing young, skilled Iranian professionals.
He further highlighted that one of the group’s key strategic goals for 2025 is the expansion and modernization of the fleet. Alongside this objective, a comprehensive plan is underway to transform IRISL into a leading regional logistics company by offering integrated transport services across maritime, road, and rail sectors.
He expressed hope that, with the support of all employees, shareholders, and stakeholders, the IRISL Group will take significant strides toward further advancement and excellence.
