Bridging Borders: Advancing Maritime Excellence Through IRAN

I’m Yücel Demirci, and I’m excited to share our experience at the IRANIMEX maritime exhibition. Our journey began in 2005 with a small 100 m² workshop at the Giptaş industrial site. Over the years, we’ve grown into one of Turkey’s leading companies in ship repair, maintenance, and spare parts. Now, we operate from a 3500 m² facility, focusing on propulsion and maneuvering systems, as well as main and auxiliary ship engines.

At IRANIMEX, our goal was to connect with companies in Iran’s maritime sector and introduce what we do best. The exhibition turned out to be an incredible opportunity to meet industry professionals, share ideas, and explore ways to collaborate.

One of the highlights for us was meeting a variety of companies and learning more about Iran’s maritime industry. We gained valuable insights that will help us in future projects. A standout moment was visiting ISOICO, one of the largest shipbuilding and offshore companies in Iran, located in Bandar Abbas.

It’s clear to me that Iran has huge potential in maritime development. With the right investments in infrastructure, sustainability, and technology, the industry could make its mark globally. Events like IRANIMEX are key to driving this growth. They bring together local and international players, creating opportunities for collaboration and innovation. The impressive turnout of international participants at the exhibition showed just how important this platform is for connecting Iranian businesses with global markets.

I want to thank the IRANIMEX organizers and everyone we met for their warm welcome. We’re looking forward to building on these connections and contributing to the growth of the maritime industry in the years to come.
